Stocking up!

I was able to finish the miniature flowers I mentioned in my previous post AND some other 'springy' miniatures that were on my to-do-list. 

As I'm writing this I'm taking pictures so I can list them in my Etsy shop (hopefully) today. Gosh...I do sound busy, don't I??

It's Spring and I'm back....

Wow, I've been neglecting my blogging for way to long! It's not that I've been gone, I've been busy. I know...it's not much of an excuse but it's the truth. 

The Etsy shop took much of my time and to be honest I absolutely LOVE it!

I love searching for new ideas...

I love experimenting with new skills...

I love being secretly proud of my creations...

I love the positive feedback I'm getting....

So...as you can see life is great for me, I'm into a spring mood. Happy and cheery!

Been making loads of flowers and plants, ofcourse in miniature size. Funny how once you get started you can't seem to stop making them. To bad they don't have scent, it would bring spring right to my worktop.

I still have some new flowers I want to try out, list them in my shop and see how others like them. I can't wait!

New stuff!

A new year, new ideas, new inspiration and new listings! This weekend I'll be listing loads of new miniatures in my webshop (  http://www.anothercosyshop.nl  ) and here's a picture to give you an impression.

And I'll let you in on a little secret...I'm trying to get a shop started on Etsy! Yes..a new shop! I'm so excited about it.  I'll keep you posted on my progress on that. Does anyone have an idea for a 'grand opening'?

Nope, not another tutorial today...

After decorating the house for Christmas, doing the tutorials I promised and sending off my Christmas swap for Rosa (which she recieved and already opened...you naughty girl!!) I decided to spend some more time at needle felting. It's my latest addiction, I absolutely love doing it. It's calming and so much fun!

They will be listed soon in my webshop but first I want to finish some of the miniatures that are still on my to-do-list. Why oh why does time fly so fast when you're having fun?

Yes! I've done it...

It's so difficult to take good photographs of miniatures, no doubt you know what I mean. But I finally got the pictures I needed for the webshop and listed the cats.

Stocking up!

During the summer break I've been real busy making new miniatures for my webshop and I was able to list them last weekend. Here are a few pictures of the new items I made.

Time flies...

Is it already july 14th??? I've been so busy lately time just seems to fly. In between birthday celebrations of our youngest son and the festivities because one of our elder sons completed high school, I even found time to make some more miniatures for my webshop.

I've been totally into the shabby chic theme lately,  i'm even thinking in pink and blue, roses, lace and bows . Yesterday I've been filling the webshop with the new items but I just can't resist showing off a bit here. Here are some pictures to give you an impression.

By the way...I'm stunned how fast the miniatures sell. I have one eye on my email and the first orders are coming in. Yeah!! (hands up in the air).

See you all soon, I'm off to get some groceries and I really..really should mop the floor. On the other hand, the kids love pizza and the floor isn't sticky yet. I'm going to upholster some miniature chairs!

Having a shop-day

Usually when I have a shop-day I shop...till I nearly drop. But nowadays I reserve time to fill my webshop. I start with gathering the miniatures I made and checking them a few times if they're good enough to sell. I'm such a perfectionist and I only want to sell something I'd really like to buy myself. Hubby tells me I shouldn't be so fussy and that not everyone shares my personal taste but I just can't help myself.

Next step is to photograph the items and off I go with my camera, looking for the best daylight and with my photoboxes under my arm. I arrange the miniatures and try to take pictures... a lot of pictures. After that I choose the most clear and truthful ones to put in the shop.

By the time I finally sit behind my pc to upload the items in the shop half of the day has suddenly vanished. Ehm...maybe hubby is right?

But when I'm finally done it's such a satisfying feeling. Yes! I did it!

Late in the evening

In between taking care of the  kids, wallpapering at my moms, the flue, spring holiday , planting flowerbulbs in the garden and taking part in activities at the schools of my sons I found time to do some miniatures. Quite incredible huh?

Honestly I can't think of  a greater way to relax. Just imagine me late in the evening sitting in my private little corner of the house, my worktable filled with scraps of paper, different kinds of glue, woodchips, scissors, craftknifes, uncountable bottles of paint and paintbrushes in jars. I have some great music on and I can't help myself from singing along and swinging my feet to the beat. The desklight is shining brightly and my two pairs of glasses are in reach if I need to see something a little better. The smell of fresh coffee surrounds me....aaaaaaah....just PERFECT!

And there I go, my head is filled with so many ideas...I glue...I cut...I paint...I hum...I move to the beat...

Late at night I suddenly realise how late it actually is. I try to clean up the workspace a little (not to much though, the chaos others see has some wierd logic and order to me), I dim the lights, turn off the music and take a closer look at the miniatures I made. A huge sigh...life is good, life is great!

Let's find hubby, pour a glass of wine, walk the dog together and snuggle into bed.

It's 2012!

Funny as it is only a change of date but this  new year feels like a new start for me; the beginning of new exciting happenings. A burst of energy is running through my veins and I want to love, laugh and live!

I've been busy with family and friends in the last month, very cozy and snuggly AND tried to do some miniatures in between those busy times. I wanted to put some more items in my shop before Christmas but just couldn't find the time. So...today I finally came around to doing that. I also decided to use the other blog of mine 'Another Cosy Shop' just to show the new items I've made. I have a real 'official' shop where buying is much easier. Gosh...it almost looks like I'm becoming profesionnal *huge smile*.

I hope you don't mind me showing off a little wee bit and show you some of the items I made!

I'm afraid there's also sad news I want to share with you. Remember little dog Fifi , a give-away on my blog, that was going to live at Carla's in sunny Brasil? I've send her on her way in november but until now Carla  hasn't recieved her yet. I'm afraid poor little Fifi might have gone lost. Isn't that just awful? I'm keeping my fingers crossed here she will turn up soon. If she doesn't I promise you that I'll make a new Fifi (Fifi #2)  and try to get her to you as soon as possible Carla!

In a creating mood

Sometimes I feel a little like Speedy Gonzales...so many ideas, so much energy, so many things I want to make!

Oh my...not another one!

I did it! After a long time aking myself if I should because there are so many who did it already and why would anybody be interested if I did it too and am I any good at it or will it be a huge failure.... I finally made up my mind. Yes! I will have a go at it, why not?
